Our Story

Cantaracase started with a material sample in a design studio.

I spent years as a space designer, working with materials that shape how a room feels. Alcantara® was one of those quiet favourites: a suede-like Italian material chosen for hospitality seating, feature panels, and the cabins of cars you do not forget.

One afternoon, holding a leftover swatch from a project, I pressed it against the back of my phone. The contrast was immediate: the cold, slippery glass against this warm, considered surface. I thought: why does the thing we touch a hundred times a day feel less considered than the spaces we design?

That question became Cantaracase.

We are a small studio. We work with one material, in focused product categories. We do not chase trends or release endless collections. Each case uses genuine Alcantara® material imported from Italy, then is precision-made and hand-wrapped by specialist case makers in China.

Orders are dispatched locally from Australia, so customers receive them faster. If you notice the difference between things that are simply made and things that are considered, you are who we make these for.
